About Us
Grade 2 was born out of a deep personal connection to health and a passion for transformative impact. Bradford Manning and Bryan Manning, co-founders of Grade 2, have long been driven by both personal and professional experiences in healthcare. Diagnosed with Stargardt's Disease, a degenerative eye condition at a young age, the brothers developed a perspective on the challenges faced by patient communities. Their firsthand understanding of the urgency for medical advancements fueled passion for innovation in healthcare.

Leveraging both business acumen and a personal connection to health, They co-founded a company, Two Blind Brothers, a mission-driven brand that has grown into the largest organizations serving the blind and visually impaired community. Through this journey, they discovered the power of combining purpose with business. Two Blind Brothers is not only a disruptive brand but also raises awareness and funds for blindness research, earning the trust and support of over 500,000 customers.

In addition to entrepreneurial success, the brothers have served as both trustees and on the Board of Directors for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, where they have further contributed to the advancement of research and advocacy for those affected by vision loss. Their leadership and dedication in the non-profit world have provided them with a deep understanding of patient needs, which continues to shape the operational support they bring to their investment strategy today.

The firm’s investments reflect this intersection of passion and expertise, with a focus on life sciences, healthcare, and innovative technologies that have the potential to improve lives on a global scale.

Grade 2 has a mission is to identify and support transformative innovations that meet the unmet needs of patient communities, while also championing breakthrough technologies across industries. The brothers' story serves as a foundation for this vision, embodying a commitment to impact, integrity, and meaningful progress.
